At Cider Mill Landscapes, we recently completed a backyard upgrade for a homeowner in Media, installing a custom mosaic paver patio off the home’s covered porch along with a fresh planting installation to enhance the surrounding landscape.
A Patio That Extends the Porch
The goal of this project was to create a functional outdoor living area that flows naturally from the covered porch. Our team installed a mosaic-style paver patio that adds texture and visual interest while providing a durable surface for outdoor seating and entertaining.
To frame the space and give the patio a clean, finished look, we incorporated a contrasting border course around the perimeter. This design detail helps define the patio while adding subtle visual contrast.
New Plantings to Complete the Landscape
To soften the hardscape and tie the patio into the yard, we also installed new landscape plantings around the space. Carefully selected shrubs add texture, and seasonal interest while helping the patio feel fully integrated with the surrounding landscape.
Built for Beauty and Durability
Like every hardscape project completed by Cider Mill Landscapes, the patio was built on a properly prepared base to ensure long-term durability and stability through Pennsylvania’s changing seasons.
The finished result is a welcoming outdoor space that combines custom hardscaping and thoughtful planting design, giving the homeowners a beautiful place to relax and entertain.
