Great design doesn’t stop at the back door. For this project, Cider Mill Landscapes partnered with DMB Contracting to create a seamless indoor and outdoor entertainment experience. Inside, the basement was transformed with custom cabinetry, a handcrafted entertainment bar, walnut accents, a theater room, and a beautifully finished bathroom. Outside, the living space was extended with expansive stone patios, a custom fire pit area, outdoor kitchen, walkways, and professionally designed landscaping. Together, these elements create a cohesive retreat that gives the homeowners plenty of space to relax, entertain, and enjoy their home year-round.
A Fully Customized Basement Designed for Entertaining
This basement renovation was designed to transform an unfinished lower level into a luxurious and highly functional extension of the home. The project included several custom-built features, including:
A custom entertainment bar
Custom cabinetry and countertops
Walnut doors and trim accents
A home theater room
A fully finished bathroom
High-end custom finishes throughout the space
Every detail was carefully planned and built to create a cohesive design that feels both sophisticated and inviting.
A Collaborative Custom Bar Build
One of the standout features of the basement is the custom-built bar area, which combined the expertise of both DMB Contracting and Cider Mill Landscapes.
DMB Contracting designed and built the custom cabinetry, bar structure, countertops, and detailed wood accents, while Cider Mill Landscapes completed the beautiful stonework that ties the entire space together. The combination of rich walnut finishes and textured stone created a timeless focal point perfect for entertaining guests or relaxing with family.
The collaboration allowed both teams to bring their specialties together seamlessly, resulting in a custom feature that feels completely unique to the home.
Premium Craftsmanship Throughout the Space
Beyond the bar area, the basement features extensive custom work that elevates the entire design. Walnut doors and trim accents add warmth and character throughout the space, while the theater room and bathroom were finished with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship.
The result is a basement that feels less like a lower level and more like a natural continuation of the home’s main living areas.
A Complete Outdoor Living Space
In addition to the custom entertainment bar, this project included a full outdoor living transformation designed for entertaining and relaxation. A spacious natural stone patio creates distinct areas for dining, gathering, and enjoying the backyard, while a custom circular fire pit with curved stone seating walls provides a cozy focal point for family and friends.
The space also features a fully equipped outdoor kitchen with stone veneer finishes, built-in appliances, and ample counter space for outdoor cooking. Natural stone walkways, boulder accents, and thoughtfully selected plantings connect the various living areas and help the hardscape blend seamlessly into the surrounding landscape.
Together, the patio, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, and landscaping create a backyard retreat that is both beautiful and highly functional—perfect for entertaining guests or enjoying everyday outdoor living.
